Philosophy & Vision
I believe my purpose in this life is to help people, and the best way I can do that is by doing what I am best at, which is being extremely passionate & a massive nerd about exercise & sport science. My vision is to build a community of people looking to get the most out of their time on this earth by optimizing our body's capabilities, functionality & resilience through resistance training, diet & lifestyle alterations that are reasonable as well as sustainable.
Training Philosophy & Evidence Based Practices.
I believe wholeheartedly in training through a full range of motion maximizing mobility, physical capabilities & functional strength. The latest studies seem to show the lengthened portion of exercises to likely be most important. By emphasizing the stretch (lengthened) under load you will build strength in compromised positions thus reducing injury risk, increasing flexibility, improving bone mineral density and so much more.
Training variety & recovery.
To the best of my ability, I try to keep up to date with the latest research & best practices, implementing them into my training wherever I see fit. I practice what I preach so I make sure to try out what I think will work, however as much as I enjoy testing things out, consistency is essential for progress, some variety is fine every now and then, but not all the time, so it takes a while for me to try & get on board with the latest trends.
